The Moonlit Forest Doll

The Moonlit Forest Doll is a soft sculpture doll. She is stuffed with silky, fluffy corn fiber filling . Her skin is organic medium-fair knit cotton. The inner body is plain muslin. The hair is soft alpaca wool, in moonlit shades of cobalt blue, silver, and deep shadowy browns. Her hair is gathered into a high ponytail. The soft bangs surrounding her face are individually knotted into the hair line, a vision of gently wind-blown strands. She is wearing a dress with a black velvet bodice and puffed long sleeves of deep cobalt plaid flannel and a matching plaid flannel full circle skirt. The dress is trimmed with contrasting black and white mini-checked fabric and sports a massive black velvet bow at the back of the waistband. The underskirt is a rather dark red cotton, edged with cotton beige-colored Battenburg-style lace. Beneath the underskirt is a ladylike pair of muslin bloomers, also trimmed in that wonderful lace, and tied with drawstrings at the leg openings. Moonlit Forest wears her black "suede" boots with a fashionable geometric trim of rich caramel "suede" across the side of each boot. In her hair are rose adornments, accenting her fantastically soft alpaca yarn hair.

The face of this outdoorsy doll is lovely with greyish, brownish, cobalt-colored eyes and softly-blushed cheeks. The head shape is hand-tied with cotton twine, in the Waldorf-style. Her hair is handsewn strand by strand. The facial features are hand embroidered in cotton floss. This doll is not poseable. She sits. Moonlit Forest is 13" tall, and wonderfully chubby. The clothing is completely handmade - even the clothing designs are our own.
